FSP Welcomes Robust Slate of New Members to Board

Washington, D.C. — Financial Services Professionals (FSP) released the following statement on the election of three new members to its board:  Donna Chambers, Frantz Jacques, and Clement Abonyi, Jr.

“FSP applauds the election of three outstanding financial services professionals to its board of directors and welcomes them to the board.  The new members bring a wealth of experience to the board with backgrounds spanning legal, regulatory, and legislative work in the financial services industry.

Donna Chambers is a Senior Special Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel at the Securities and Exchange Commission and served previously in senior positions in the Division of Trading and Markets. Her expertise in securities regulation includes secondary market regulation and derivatives.

Frantz Jacques is a corporate attorney whose practice area focuses on mergers and acquisitions, fintech law, debt and equity financing, corporate governance, securities regulation, and cross-border transactions. He is an active member of the DC Bar and chairs the Fintech and DEIA committees.

Clement Abonyi manages America’s Credit Unions’ relationships with Democrats on a variety of key advocacy issues. He previously served as chief of staff to House Financial Services Chairwoman Maxine Waters. Clement also worked with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and the U.S. Treasury.”

FSP Founder and Board Chair De’Ana Dow stated, “I am pleased to welcome Donna, Frantz and Clement to our board! As we celebrate 10 years of advancing our mission of greater diversity in the financial services industry, we are excited about the experience, enthusiasm, and commitment that our new board members bring to the organization.  In the current political environment where DEI is no longer a priority and faces constant legal challenges, organizations like FSP are needed more than ever. We look forward to the valued contributions of our new board members.”
