Financial Services Professionals proudly Welcomes Ms. Yasmin Nelson as the New Executive Director
Washington, D.C. – Financial Services Professionals (FSP) released the following statement on the appointment of Ms. Yasmin Nelson as its new Executive Director:
FSP is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Yasmin Nelson as Executive Director. Ms. Nelson will serve as an integral part of FSP’s leadership team assisting with developing programs and strategies for membership growth, expanding fundraising efforts, enhancing member engagement, and attending to the overall operations of FSP.
She brings a wealth of experience in government, the private sector, law, and policy. Presently, she serves as Senior Policy Advisor at Holland & Knight, where she co-leads their Banking and Financial Services Policy Group. In addition, she advises leading financial institutions, fintechs, and nonprofits on complex regulatory and legislative issues. Her work requires engagement with Congress, the Executive Branch, and financial regulators, and she regularly convenes stakeholders to build consensus and drive strategic outcomes.
“Yasmin has significant experience in the financial services industry with a unique mix of leadership and advocacy skills, knowledge of Washington, D.C. policy and process, and professional roles in both public service and private practice. She has been integral to the growth and success of other volunteer organizations with similar missions, and I am confident that Yasmin will be successful in advancing the goals and mission of FSP,” said Ms. Dow. “Yasmin worked with me as my executive assistant when I founded FSP 10 years ago and now she is returning as the Executive Director – indeed a full-circle moment.”
