MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF THE BOARD
Greetings FSP! I am pleased to bring you the 11th edition of the FSP Newsletter. The first quarter of 2023 put FSP on full display as we hosted our first Annual Meeting and officer elections. In conjunction with the Annual Meeting, we hosted our first annual awards program, where we awarded the Trailblazer Award to none other than our staunchest supporter and encourager, the Honorable Joyce Beatty. Rep. Beatty received the award for her outstanding leadership and dedication to advancing diversity in financial services. We heard remarks from Senator Sherrod Brown, CFTC Commissioner Kristin Johnson, House Financial Services Committee, Democratic Staff Director Charla Ouertatani. Also in attendance were Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Sandra Thompson and SEC OMWI Director Pam Gibbs. Rep. Beatty’s remarks inspired us to continue what we started in our mission to increase diversity in our industry, open doors to new opportunities, and provide the resources needed for all to succeed. The program was co-hosted by Goldman Sachs and was held in the conference center at 101 Constitution.
