Cynthia Pullom

Cynthia Pullom currently serves as Director of Financial Services Policy at the Investment Company Institute (ICI). Before joining ICI, Cynthia served as chief policy counsel for US Senator Christopher Murphy (D-CT) on matters related to financial services, tax, judiciary, and telecom. She has also worked for Representative Terri Sewell (D-AL) as legislative counsel on financial services, tax, and judiciary issues.
Before her Capitol Hill service, Cynthia served as an associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in political science; she also holds a JD from Harvard Law School, where she served as an editor for the Harvard Law and Policy Review.
