Cortney Coutreyer

Cortney Coutreyer recently joined Liberty Mutual in August 2021, as a Public Affairs Officer. Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Cortney was the lead Federal Affairs lobbyist for Allstate Insurance Company. While at Allstate, Cortney played a key role in growing relationships with women and minority members of Congress. She helped grow the companies Connect with Congress program, its diversity initiatives, and was integral in Allstate joining the Congressional Bi-Partisan HBCU Caucus. Cortney’s legislative portfolio included financial services issues, driver safety, data privacy, and the Allstate Foundation’s hallmark program: Purple Purse.

A graduate of the historic Pine Forge Academy and Hampton University, Cortney began her professional career as an educator at a Montessori Academy. Specializing in Language Arts, she led a team of teachers, created curriculum and maintained regulatory and policy standards. Cortney often says that a career in government affairs has allowed her to marry her passions of education, advocacy, policy and law.

Cortney currently serves as Chair of the Financial Services Taskforce for Women and Government Relations, Chair of Young Professionals for Financial Services Professionals and General Vice President of National Pine Forge Academy Alumni Association.
